Farmer's Delight Addon Fixes

by vomiter

This Forge patch set repairs older addons for the Minecraft 1.20.1 release, so their models and translation keys keep resolving after recent updates.

ForgeClient and serverMIT License1.20.1

What it does

The patches target known incompatibilities. They redirect removed pie models to the new template model names, try to resolve other renamed template models, and replace references to the obsolete ShepherdsPieBlock with the newer generic FeastBlock. Missing models are supplied as well.

Support covers several older addons, including a repair for an invalid feast block registration in the Born Chaos compatibility module. Both the old and the new tooltip translation key formats are accepted, so the fixes benefit several older addons at once.

The mod applies external compatibility patches through Mixins and bytecode transformations, so the addons themselves are not modified. Patch behavior depends on the internal layout of each addon version. It is an unofficial project, not affiliated with the addons it patches, and the original content belongs to their respective authors. The code is released under the MIT License, and the mod is not open source.

Key features

  1. Pie model redirects

Pie models removed from older addons are redirected to the new template model names.

  2. FeastBlock replacement

References to ShepherdsPieBlock are swapped for the generic FeastBlock used in newer releases.

  3. Dual tooltip keys

Both the old and new tooltip translation key formats are supported, so text stays readable across addon versions.

  4. Optional addon patches

Each supported addon is optional. Install only the ones in use, and prefer the original addon when it has an update.
