Mobs Origins
Mobs Origins lets a player take on the form of one of 15 mobs from Minecraft, using a special orb thrown onto the ground.
What it does
The mod recreates 15 mobs from Minecraft as playable origins, and the author aimed to copy them as closely as possible. To become one, a player crafts the special orb and throws it on the ground, along with the items the origin requires. The Ender Dragon is among the origins, and reaching it counts as the end game.
Mobs Origins is a server-side only mod for Fabric. Players join a server without installing anything, and only the server needs the mod. It is published for 1.19.2, 1.19.3, 1.20 and 1.20.1, and the latest Fabric file targets 1.20.1, released on 2023-07-09. The code is under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, so it is not open source. A datapack version also exists for players who want the origins without the Fabric mod, which makes it an option on other loaders.
