Mcedia China Media Platforms Resolver lets the Mcedia player resolve links from Chinese streaming platforms such as Bilibili and Douyin into playable media.

What it does

When a supported platform link is passed to Mcedia, the resolver converts it into media data the player can use, including the title, the author or uploader, a preview image and the direct playback address. Bilibili videos with multiple parts are handled, and the metadata is attached for the danmaku system to use. Bilibili live rooms are checked to see whether they are live, and if so their playable live stream URL is fetched. Douyin share links are followed to extract the final video URL.

The mod is a platform extension for Mcedia Core and requires it. Playback depends on the URLs returned by the target platform and on the login state of its upstream API, and some Bilibili content only resolves correctly with a local login cookie. The mod runs on the client only, so servers need nothing, and it is licensed as All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Files are published for Fabric, across six release versions, 1.21.8 – 26.2.
