MapWriter Mini Map MITE gives Legacy Fabric players a mini map and a full screen world map for Minecraft 1.6.4, both in singleplayer and on multiplayer servers.

What it does

A corner mini map shows the terrain around the player and can be switched to a rotating circular mode from the options menu. A short range underground mode displays air, water and lava around the player when digging. Exploration progress is stored as the player walks, so the explored area stays on the map between sessions, and explored chunks are saved in Anvil format for multiplayer servers, letting tools read the world.

The full screen map opens as a GUI where the player can zoom out to see everywhere explored, drag to pan and place waypoints with a right click. The entire map can be exported as PNG images. The mod is open source under the MIT License and runs on the client only, so a server does not need it and players join without installing anything. Its files target game version 1.6.4 alone, and the latest Legacy Fabric build is 2.0.21, published on 2026-08-02.
