Magmaphile changes the height at which lava pools generate, with the default set to Y -117 and a configurable range that can start as low as Y -57.
What it does
The mod is a small mixin that lets a server owner move the generation height of lava pools. Its default places them at Y -117. Changing the value reshapes how lava appears underground, which matters most when a datapack such as Expanded World has altered world height and the vanilla lava placement no longer fits the terrain. Only the server reads the setting, so the change applies to every player who joins.
Magmaphile is server-side only, so players join without installing anything. Files are published for Fabric and Quilt and cover the game versions 1.21 – 1.21.5. The code is released under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, placing it in the public domain, and the source code and issue tracker are public. MidnightLib is bundled inside the mod, so no separate library needs to be installed.
