Mace Damage Indicator
by Moubarack
Mace Damage Indicator shows the damage a mace smash attack would deal, live under the crosshair as the player falls.
What it does
The number above the crosshair rises with the fall distance in the same way a real hit does, so a player can judge how much a smash is worth before the mace lands. A new record appears in gold above the crosshair, accompanied by a totem sound, whenever a smash exceeds the stored value. Criticals are left out of the record, so every saved value stays comparable from one attack to the next.
Records are stored per world and kept between sessions. Two commands are included, and they stay on the client, so the mod never reaches a server. Install it on the client only; the server can be vanilla and players can join any server without installing anything else.
The mod is published for Fabric and NeoForge across five release versions, 1.21.1 – 26.3. On Fabric it requires Fabric API. The code is not open source and is distributed under All rights reserved.
Key features
Live smash damage readout
A number under the crosshair updates as the player falls, showing the damage a mace smash would deal at that moment.
Gold record display
Exceeding the stored smash value shows a new record above the crosshair in gold, with a totem sound to mark it.
Criticals excluded from records
Critical hits are not counted in the saved record, which keeps the recorded values directly comparable.
Per-world record storage
The highest smash is saved between sessions and kept separately for each world.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases

What the author says
Mace Damage Indicator shows the damage of your mace smash attack live under the crosshair, while you fall. The number rises with your fall exactly like the real hit does, so you know what your smash is worth before you land it. It is fully client-side: nothing to install on the server, and it works anywhere you play.
