Keep The Rain
by Jummit
Keep The Rain adds a game rule that keeps rain falling after a player sleeps through the night, instead of clearing the weather.
What it does
Vanilla Minecraft clears rain when a player sleeps, which often ends a storm too soon. This mod adds a game rule that turns off that clearing, so weather persists after sleeping. The rule is on by default in the mod's settings so server owners can change it. Keep The Rain is server-side only, so players join without installing anything. Builds are published for Fabric and Forge, and the 1.2.0 files target 1.17.1 only. The code is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Rain persists after sleep
Sleeping through the night no longer clears rain, so a storm continues until it ends on its own.
Adjustable game rule
A game rule controls whether weather clears after sleeping, and server owners can switch it off.
Server-side operation
Only the server needs the mod, so clients can join without installing it.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
This mod also publishes snapshot builds. Snapshots are not shown in the matrix.
