Elytra Bedrock
Elytra Bedrock brings Bedrock Edition's way of ending an elytra glide to Java: pressing jump mid-air cancels the gliding and drops the player into freefall.
What it does
Holding the elytra open in the air, a player who presses the jump key cancels the glide and falls at once. Pressing jump again while falling re-activates the elytra, matching the standard Java behaviour where gliding can only be stopped by landing or hitting water. The mod is a Fabric mod for 1.21.11 and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files are released under the MIT License, and the project is not open source.
Key features
Cancel glide with jump
Pressing the jump key while gliding stops the elytra immediately and sends the player into freefall.
Re-activate by jumping again
Pressing jump again during the fall deploys the elytra once more, so a glide can be resumed mid-air.
Standard Java behaviour kept
Landing or hitting water still ends a glide as usual, and only the jump-to-cancel action is added.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.

This mod adds that missing behaviour. Press jump while gliding to cancel the elytra immediately. You can re-activate it by…
