Echoes of Aegis: Companions

by Echo220

Echoes of Aegis: Companions lets players tame, equip and command small companions that follow them through survival play on Fabric servers.

FabricServer-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source26.1.2 – 26.3

What it does

Companions are tamed by feeding them dropped food, after which they walk alongside a player and gain trust and bond over time. Each player can keep one active bonded companion by default. Companions can be given roles such as Defender, Scout, Stay, Guard or Claim, and they gain levels from fights, duels, time spent surviving and being fed. Personality traits including Brave, Loyal, Scrappy, Careful and Lucky shape how each one behaves.

The mod runs on the server alone, and it relies on Fabric API. Joining players can use a standard Fabric client or a client close to vanilla, provided the server permits it. Rare wild Little Wanderers spawn in open grassy or plains-like areas near village beds and bells. Companion gear is managed through a GUI for armor, weapons, offhand, a hidden helmet slot and storage. The mod is released under the MIT License and is open source, with its source code public. It is published for Fabric across three release versions, 26.1.2 – 26.3, with 1.0.35 for 26.3 as the latest file.
