Customizable FPS Display

by sebastian0schmirl

Customizable FPS Display shows the current frame rate and the maximum FPS setting in the top left corner of the game screen.

ForgeNeoForgeClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.19.2 – 1.21.1

What it does

The overlay reads the game's frame rate and the FPS limit set in the options, and draws both values in the top left corner. A player can move the readout to other screen coordinates with a command, and turn the whole display or only the max FPS line on and off. Forge and NeoForge are supported, and the mod is client-side only, so servers do not need it. Builds cover 1.19.2 – 1.21.1 across five game versions, and the latest files are 1.0.0 for 1.20.1 on Forge and 1.0.0 for 1.21.1 on NeoForge, both published 2026-03-06. The code is under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

Key features

  1. Frame rate readout

The current FPS value is drawn on screen, updated as the game runs.

  2. Max FPS line

The configured FPS limit appears next to the frame rate and can be hidden with a command.

  3. Position command

The fpsdisplay setPos command moves the readout to chosen x and y screen coordinates.
