claimguard
by v_eno
Land-claim protection for survival servers: ClaimGuard lets players and teams mark chunks as their own, and blocks others from breaking, placing, using or opening things inside them.
What it does
ClaimGuard covers personal claims for solo players and optional team claims that can be detected automatically when a teams mod is installed on the server. A claim protects against block breaking, placing and use, and it also guards containers, so items inside another player's claim stay out of reach. Creation can follow one of two modes, and the server owner sets the rules that govern how strict protection is.
The protection rules, the claim economy and the claim limits are all configurable on the server. Claims are an optional economy: the server can make claiming cost something or leave it free. The mod targets the Minecraft 1.21.11 line of the Fabric loader and is built for servers that need strong anti-grief rules for player land. ClaimGuard is server-side only, so players join without installing it, and it is released under the MIT License, but it is not open source. Files exist for 17 release versions, 1.20.1 – 1.21.11, and the latest Fabric file is 1.0.2 for 1.21.10, marked as a beta build.
Key features
Personal claims
Solo players can claim land for themselves, and the claim stays protected from other players.
Optional team claims
Teams can share a claim, and the mod detects team membership automatically when a teams mod is present.
Two creation modes
Claims can be created in one of two modes, so the server can choose how players mark their land.
Block and container protection
Breaking, placing and using blocks is restricted inside a claim, and containers are guarded against other players.
Configurable claim economy
Claiming can be priced by the server, and the protection rules and claim economy are adjustable in the config.
