Cartworks

by Aervial

Cartworks changes how TNT minecarts handle blast power, fixing a randomization problem in the server-side behavior of explosive carts.

FabricServer-side onlyAll rights reserved1.21.11

What it does

Cartworks corrects the way Minecart TNT chooses its blast power. The fix targets randomized values that were applied to explosive carts, and it sets a hard cap on the resulting power. The mod is a Fabric build for Minecraft 1.21.11 only, with the latest file dated 2026-02-04, and it runs on the server alone, so players join without installing it. Cartworks is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Blast power fix

Corrects the randomization applied to TNT minecarts so their explosion strength no longer varies unexpectedly.

  2. Velocity bonus correction

Stops minecart TNT from adding a random bonus to blast power based on the cart's velocity.

  3. Hard power cap

Limits minecart TNT blast power to a fixed maximum value set by the mod.

What the author says

Fixes an issue where Minecart TNTs would randomize their BONUS blast power based on their velocity, adding a hard cap of 1.5 to this. This was a request by @xarbidarb on the Fabric Discord, and I took up the challenge.
