Better View Bobbing is a Forge client mod for Minecraft 1.8.9 that changes how much the camera sways while the player moves.
What it does
Vanilla Minecraft shakes the view as a player walks, runs and sprints, and this shaking can be disruptive. Better View Bobbing lets a player reduce or switch off that screen movement, so the view stays steady while the character moves. The change touches only the camera; it does not alter the world, blocks, entities or other players.
The mod is a client-side only addition, so only the player who installs it needs it, and a server can run without it. Builds are published for Forge alone, and the only file is 0.1.1 for 1.8.9, released on 2026-04-22. The source code and issue tracker are public, and the code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, which makes it open source.
