Better When Groovier

by MonkeySaint

Better When Groovier restores music that was left out of the beta, adding tracks from the C418 Excursions album and other unused songs to the game's soundtrack.

BTA BabricClient or server, optionalMIT LicenseOpen sourceb1.7.3

What it does

The mod adds previously unused tracks from both music volumes, including Beginning 2, Floating Trees and Moog City 2, and it plays a few of them only during certain seasons or times of day. The vanilla Minecraft Volume Alpha tracks still play, but on a 50% chance whenever a seasonal track could apply. Music stops when a player enters a world or leaves the menu, and fades out when stopped, so changing worlds gives a clean transition.

The mod also assigns specific tracks to the title screen and to creative mode. It requires HalpLibe, and its files target only b1.7.3 on the Babric loader. Either side can run it, and neither needs it, so it works on a client alone, a server alone or both. It is released under the MIT License, and the source code is public. Snapshot builds are published.

Questions

Does Better When Groovier need HalpLibe?

No. Either side can run it, and neither needs it, so a server can run without the mod while players still install it on their own side.

Are the vanilla music tracks still heard?

Yes. The vanilla Minecraft Volume Alpha tracks still play, though each seasonal track has only a 50% chance to replace them where it applies.
