Assembler Matrix Prioritization

by v__d__

Assembler Matrix Prioritization lets players set a priority number on each Assembler Matrix in an ExtendedAE setup, so the matrix that crafts an item is chosen by rank.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverGNU General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.20.1 – 26.1.2

What it does

A priority value can now be set on each Assembler Matrix in ExtendedAE, using the same screen the other priority controls already use. Higher numbers mean higher priority, and 0 is the default value.

If the top-ranked provider cannot satisfy a request, the lower-priority providers fill the remainder. The mod runs on Applied Energistics 2 and needs Extended AE, which is required and loaded alongside it. Files are published for Forge 1.20.1 and NeoForge 26.1.2, and the mod is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, so the code is open source. Public source code and an issue tracker are linked from the project.

Key features

  1. Priority on Assembler Matrix

Each Assembler Matrix can be given a priority value that controls which provider handles a crafting request.

  2. Same interface as existing controls

The priority setting uses the UI already present in ExtendedAE, so no new screens need to be learned.

  3. Highest priority first

Among several providers able to craft one item, the highest-priority matrix is used before the others.

  4. Fallback to lower ranks

When the preferred matrix cannot cover a request, lower-priority matrices supply the rest of the amount.

What the author says

Assembler Matrix Prioritization adds a priority setting to the Assembler Matrix from ExtendedAE, using the same UI as the ME Storage Bus. Higher numbers mean higher priority (default: 0). When multiple providers can craft the same item, the one with the highest priority is used first. If it cannot fully satisfy the…
