Advanced Bobbing Camera And Item

by Seps1s

Advanced Bobbing Camera And Item replaces the first-person camera and held-item animations with smoother, weight-aware motion for players on Forge.

ForgeClient-side onlyMIT License1.20.1

What it does

Head-bobbing and weapon sway are rebuilt around inertia physics, so held items lag and settle as the view turns and moves. Changes to the camera and item animations happen entirely on the player's side. The mod runs on the client only, so servers do not need it and players can join without installing anything extra. It is published for Forge and the game version 1.20.1, and the code is covered by the MIT License, though the project is not open source.

Key features

  1. Bobbing camera

The first-person camera bobs with each step, adding a sway that follows the player's movement.

  2. Inertia-based weapon sway

Held items respond to turning and movement with lag and settling motion instead of rigid tracking.

  3. Adjustable through Options

Sliders in the vanilla Options menu let players tune how strong the bobbing and sway feel.
