Actually Camel

by DasBlackfur

Actually Camel changes the camel mob so it looks like a camel, not a dromedary, and fixes its seating for the two humps.

FabricClient required, server optionalMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

The mod replaces the appearance of the camel so it matches a two-humped animal, correcting a change Mojang made when the camel was added and that also turned it into a dromedary. Seating on the camel is adjusted to suit the two humps. Files are published for Fabric only, for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with 1.0.0 for 1.21.1 as the latest release, and the mod is open source under the MIT License.

Key features

  1. Two-humped camel model

The camel's look is changed so it appears as a two-humped camel rather than a single-humped dromedary.

  2. Adjusted rider position

The seating position on the camel is moved to fit the two humps when a player rides it.

  3. Client-side changes

The look and seating change runs on the client, so players see the corrected camel while the server keeps working without it.

What the author says

Mojang said they would add camels, they added dromedaries. This mod fixes that. Camels now have 2 humps and the seating position is also adjusted accordingly. This mod should work clientside-only, but might interfere with some anticheat systems, so I recommend to install it on the server as well.
