Sulfur Slimes
by Thorm
Sulfur Slimes adds toxic underground caverns to Minecraft, with two slime species, hazardous ores, and explosive items crafted from the ores the caves yield.
What it does
Players who go underground find a new cave biome lined with block formations and toxic dripstone hanging from the ceilings. Pressurized sulfur geysers and rare Potent Sulfur Blocks make the caverns dangerous, and approaching a Potent Sulfur Block immediately inflicts Poison, Nausea and Blindness on the player. Sulfur and Cinnabar are collected by mining the ores of these caves, and the Sulfur Cinnabar Ore is the core crafting material for the mod's specialized utility items and high-tier nuclear items.
The two reactive slime species live in their own natural habitat within the caverns. Sulfur Slimes are bright yellow and peaceful, staying near chemical deposits, while Cinnabar Slimes are volatile red variants found deeper in the ecosystem. Adult slimes split into two baby slimes on death; the babies are harmless and grow back into large adults if left alone.
The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge only, with builds for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. The code is not open source, and the mod is released under All rights reserved.
