Joe's Shader Toggle
by jflec
Joe's Shader Toggle lets players decide, before a world loads, whether shaders should be switched on for the session.
What it does
When a game starts, the mod shows a short prompt that asks whether shaders should be enabled. The choice is made per launch, so a player can run with shaders for screenshots and without them for regular play. The mod depends on Iris Shaders, which provides the shader support it toggles, and it is released for Fabric on Minecraft 1.20.1 only. It runs on the client alone, and the license is MIT, though the project is not open source.
Key features
Start-up shader prompt
A simple prompt appears when the game launches and asks whether shaders should be turned on for that session.
Per-session shader choice
Players pick enabled or disabled shaders each time, instead of keeping one setting that applies to every launch.
Video settings before entering a world
The choice is available before a world loads, so players can check video options first, which helps on less capable hardware.

What the author says
Shader Toggle provides an option for players to choose whether to enable or disable shaders. This feature is particularly usefor as many players may not explore their video settings before entering a world, helping to prevent performance issues on less powerful systems.
