Phasometer VS Fix

by murmracek

Phasometer VS Fix corrects how the Wither Storm Mod's Phasometer reads a wither when Valkyrien Skies is installed alongside it.

ForgeServer-side onlyMIT License1.20.1

What it does

The fix addresses a case where the Phasometer wrongly reports whether a wither is present when Valkyrien Skies is installed. Valkyrien Skies changes some server-side behavior, which can break the detection, and this mod adjusts that path so the Phasometer checks correctly. Only the server needs the mod, so players join without installing anything. It requires Cracker's Wither Storm Mod and is published for Forge under the MIT License, for 1.20.1 only.

Key features

  1. Phasometer detection fix

Corrects the Phasometer so it recognizes a wither storm correctly when Valkyrien Skies is present.

  2. Server-side correction

The fix runs on the server, where the Phasometer's detection and data handling take place.

  3. Screen readout

The client receives the Phasometer's data and displays it on screen, so the corrected reading is what players see.

Do players need to install Phasometer VS Fix?

No. Server owners install it, and players connect with no copy of their own.

What the author says

My understanding: When you use the phasometer, wither storm mod checks if you are looking at the wither or not. If yes: put the information of the wither into phasometer nbt data (like: {Phase: 3}), if no: then delete it. All of this happens serverside. Then the client takes that information from the phasometer and…
