Oh, the Horror!
by BrookeCujoh
With Oh, the Horror!, Forge players can meet masked killers and monsters from several horror franchises in their Minecraft world.
What it does
The mod is a horror-themed addition that brings characters from several horror franchises into the game, with a focus on killers. It currently contains four rare mobs, including Obunga, Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees in two versions and Retro Ghostface. A Kitchen Knife is added as a melee weapon, and a Machete is also offered, which is compatible with tools registered under the forge:knives tag. Breaking plant and leaf blocks is made quick with these tools.
The author plans a Ghostface spawning event built around a telephone, corpses, coffins, graveyard structures and a log cabin structure, along with decorative blocks tied to it. Future updates are expected to focus more on representing killers than on combat rewards, and masked killers may later drop wearable versions of their masks. The author says the mod will avoid mechanics that would alter gameplay heavily, such as bleeding or fear mechanics, and has no plans for complex additions like Xenomorphs or FNAF animatronics.
Files are published for Forge only, with the latest build 1.0.0 for 1.20.1, released on 2024-04-29. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. The characters and franchises it represents belong to their respective owners.

What the author says
Oh, the Horror! is a horror-themed mod dedicated to adding characters and content from various horror franchises (with the rare exception) I work on this mod fairly frequently, so if you think there isn't much to this mod, don't worry! More is on the way! Much, much more.
