More Debug + Screenshot
More Debug + Screenshot replaces the classic F3 debug overlay with a larger screen of game and render statistics, and adds a screenshot feature for Minecraft Java Edition's early builds.
What it does
The mod expands the debug information shown on screen. It reports the game version, frames per second and chunk update counts, along with how many chunk sections are rendered, culled, removed or skipped. Entity figures cover rendered and culled entities as well as the total, and a line lists the particle effects being drawn. The author describes the overlay as inspired by BetterF3, TreyRuffy's Coordinates and TheZyga's work, and the goal as a more useful debug screen.
The overlay also shows spawn coordinates, the player's current position and the compass direction the player faces, plus block light values around the player's head. The author notes that a torch standing on the player's head can show a lower light level than expected, because the player's head sits one block away from the light source. Screenshot support is part of the same package, and the mod is licensed under the MIT License. It is not open source. It is for the client only, and its builds cover a1.0.4 – b1.8.1.
Key features
Expanded debug overlay
A larger debug screen with more rendering and performance counters than the vanilla F3 overlay.
Chunk and render counters
Chunk sections are counted as rendered, culled, removed or skipped, showing how much of the world the game draws.
Entity and particle counts
Rendered, culled and total entities are listed, along with the particle effects currently drawn.
Coordinates and facing
Spawn coordinates, the player's position and the compass direction are shown on screen.
Block light readout
The light level at the player's head is reported, which helps explain values near torches.
Screenshot support
A screenshot feature is bundled with the overlay, and the author states that the screenshotting part was left unchanged from beta 1.2_02 onward.
