Mineable/Minable AllTheModium Ores

by ton185

Mineable AllTheModium Ores lets machines and fake players break AllTheModium ores, which are normally unbreakable by mining tools.

ForgeNeoForgeServer-side onlyThe UnlicenseOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.4

What it does

The mod registers AllTheModium ore blocks with a hardness of -1, which makes them unbreakable by default. Its handling of related events lets automated tools such as quarries and fake players break them instead. Server owners who want these ores to be minable by machines can set a different hardness value in the configuration. The mod runs on the server only, so players connect without installing it. Files target 1.20.1 – 1.21.4 on Forge and NeoForge, and the code is open source under The Unlicense.

Key features

  1. Machine-minable ores

Quarries and fake players can break AllTheModium ores once the mod is installed on the server.

  2. Adjustable hardness

The hardness of the ore blocks can be changed to a different value, so mining speed can be tuned.

  3. Event handling

Related events are handled so the ores behave correctly when automated tools interact with them.

What the author says

Note: They register their blocks with a hardness of -1. This means its technically unbreakable, but they handle some events to fix that for players. To make this work for machines, I had to set the hardness to a different value (100 if you're wondering).
