Low Simulation Distance
by TuxeBro
Low Simulation Distance lowers the minimum simulation distance on Fabric so that weaker machines can run Minecraft with less work per tick.
What it does
The mod sets the minimum simulation render distance to 1 chunk, which limits how far around the player entities and world logic keep running. It is meant for extremely low end devices, and the author notes that normal gameplay is better served by a higher simulation distance. Only the client needs it, and it targets Minecraft 1.21.1 through a single Fabric build, 0.1, released on 2025-12-23 under the MIT License as open source.
Key features
Minimum simulation distance
Sets the minimum simulation render distance to 1, so less of the world is simulated at any moment.
Aimed at low end devices
Built for computers that struggle to keep up, where reducing simulation work matters more than a full view.
Single client install
Players install it on their own client, and servers do not need any change to use it.

What the author says
Sets minimum simulation and render distance into 1. If you have an extremely low end device, then this mod is for you! Although it is not recommended for normal gameplay if you would like to set both simulation and render distance into 1.
