Legacy Skin Fix
by tildejustin
Legacy Skin Fix lets players load modern skins on older Minecraft versions by changing how player textures are fetched.
What it does
Legacy Skin Fix loads player textures from newer skin services into older game versions, so skins display on servers running the legacy builds. It runs on Legacy Fabric, and only the client needs it, so players can install it without any change on the server side. Builds cover 1.3.1 – 1.7.5, and the latest file, 1.0.0+1.7-1.7.5, was published on 2023-09-18 under the MIT License, which makes the code open source.
