Jester PNG is a Forge horror mod that adds a creepy PNG-style entity called the Jester, which stalks players from the dark before showing itself.
What it does
The Jester is a horror entity drawn in a PNG style. It watches the player from darkness and from unexpected places, appearing near doors, windows and dark areas. Its behavior is meant to feel like something lurking and waiting for the right moment to show up, rather than an ordinary monster that attacks on sight.
Encounters escalate with distance. Sometimes the Jester only watches. At other times it moves closer. If a player comes too near and ignores the warning signs, the Jester begins to chase and attack. A darkness effect and matching sounds and music add to the atmosphere, which suits survival horror play, haunted houses, forests, villages and horror maps.
Jester PNG is published for Forge only, for Minecraft 1.20.1, and the latest Forge file is 7.0.0 for 1.20.1, dated 2026-07-14. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. The full experience, including the Jester textures and sounds, works correctly only when the mod is installed on the client. The code is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
