Infuse SMP
by Eclipse_L_
Infuse SMP is a data pack that recreates a modified version of the Infuse SMP game mode on Minecraft 1.19, with effects gained and lost on death and kills.
What it does
Infuse SMP is a data pack that simulates a slightly modified version of the Infuse SMP game mode. Effects drive the game: a player who dies gains a negative effect and loses a positive one, while a player who kills another gains a positive effect and loses a negative one. A player who dies while carrying negative effects is sent to spectator mode, and a configuration option controls whether natural deaths remove effects.
A custom item grants an extra effect when used. Another custom item revives a random player who is currently banned or offline, at the cost of several negative effects. Effects can be given, withdrawn or set with triggers and scoreboard commands, and the author notes that effect assignment for other players is admin only. The author began the project some time ago and later switched to randomized effects.
The pack is a data pack for Minecraft 1.19 and was tested on other Minecraft versions. It requires the infuse datapacks listed by the author, and the files are published for Fabric and Quilt only, with 1.2 for 1.19.2 as the latest file.
Key features
Effect exchange on death
Dying trades a positive effect for a negative one, so each death shifts the balance of a player's effects.
Effect gain on kills
Killing another player gives a positive effect and removes a negative one, rewarding aggressive play.
Custom effect items
One custom item adds an extra effect when used, and another revives a random banned or offline player.
Effect commands
Triggers such as effectwithdraw and a scoreboard command let effects be given, withdrawn or set.

Use cases
Running an Infuse-style season
Server owners who want a version of the Infuse SMP rules can add the pack to a world and let effects define each death and kill.
Configuring natural deaths
A configuration option decides whether natural deaths remove effects, so owners can keep or drop that rule.
Who it’s for: Server owners who run Infuse SMP style games on Minecraft 1.19 and players who take part in those games.
