Force Mob Challenge inspired by BastiGHG
by AlphaSlither
Force Mob Challenge turns a Minecraft server into a timed contest where one random mob is chosen as the target and every spawn across the world is converted into it.
What it does
A challenge starts with a random number from 1 to 100, which selects the target mob. Once a target is set, each mob that appears anywhere in the world is converted into that target on the spot, so one creature ends up dominating every area. The challenge is framed as a race to beat the Ender Dragon, and the Kill Random Number Mod idea behind it is reflected in how the target is picked.
A boss bar across the top of the screen shows the current target mob and the progress toward it, for example SALMON. Progress is tracked in real time and shown instantly in the boss bar and in chat when a step is completed. Piglins and Hoglins are excluded from the transformation so that the Nether stays playable.
The mod is Fabric only, built for Minecraft 1.21.11, and it runs on the server alone. Players do not install anything, since clients need nothing. The license is Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.0, and the project is not open source.
