FabricAsyncWorldEdit
by Plaaasma
FabricAsyncWorldEdit is a server-side Fabric port of FastAsyncWorldEdit, a world editing tool that runs its edits asynchronously so large builds do not stall the server.
What it does
Edits are processed asynchronously, with some tasks split off the main server thread and lighting updates split into smaller pieces. The mod offers several placement modes, and the default mode places chunks, which keeps throughput high even on the slowest setting. Operations are configurable, and the editor uses little CPU and memory while it works.
The mod covers the work builders and server owners tend to need, including inspecting and transforming stored data, and running over 200 commands. Edits are logged in a history that can be inspected, rolled back or searched, and disk usage can be reduced by raising the compression level or the buffer size. Messages and commands can be styled, and protection systems are supported so edits respect claims.
It targets Fabric only, for game versions 1.20.1 – 1.21.11. It runs on the server alone, so players need nothing extra to join. The code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and source and an issue tracker are public. Clipboard web integration needs setup before it works.
Key features
Asynchronous edits
Work runs off the main thread where possible, so large operations spread out instead of freezing the server.
Placement modes
Several placement modes trade off throughput and behavior, with chunk placement as the default.
Command set
Over 200 commands cover editing, selection, schematics and history, all configurable on the server.
History and rollback
Changes can be inspected, searched and rolled back, and logging can be bypassed for faster edits.
Asynchronous API
The API includes non-blocking entry points, and it stays compatible with WorldEdit calls.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Large builds
Builders paste or generate big structures without the server stalling during the operation.
Server administration
Operators apply protected edits and roll back mistakes through the recorded history.
Who it’s for: Server owners and builders who run WorldEdit-style operations on Fabric servers and want edits to finish without blocking the game.
Questions

What the author says
FAWE is designed for efficient world editing. FastAsyncWorldEdit is a fork of WorldEdit that has huge speed and memory improvements and considerably more features. If you use other plugins or mods which depend on WorldEdit, simply having FAWE installed will boost their performance.
