Copper Backport brings the copper armor, tools and blocks of the Copper Age update into versions that predate them, for NeoForge only.
What it does
Copper Backport adds functional copper armor and tools to Minecraft releases from 1.20.6 onward, so a world on an older version can use the copper material before its vanilla release. The gear is intended to sit between the stone and iron tiers and follow the balance of the base game's progression, rather than changing how the vanilla items behave.
The mod is aimed at survival worlds and modpacks that want more early-game depth without an overpowered shortcut. Its items keep the look and stats of the copper gear and use crafting recipes that fit the existing material tiers. The author describes it as a way to add the Copper Age content to a world that is missing it.
Installation needs NeoForge. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files cover 13 release versions, and the latest file is 1.0.0 for 1.21.11, published on 2026-01-03. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
