Block Commands easily

by emr09

Block Commands easily is a NeoForge server mod that blocks chosen commands from being run on the server.

NeoForgeServer-side onlyMIT License1.21.1 – 1.21.11

What it does

A server owner lists the commands to refuse in an auto-generated config file, and the server then rejects those commands from players. A set of default commands is blocked from the start, and entries can be added or removed in the same file. The deny message shown to players is fixed and cannot be changed through the config. Blocked commands are managed through the config file rather than hardcoded, so changing the list does not require recompiling the mod. The mod runs on a server alone, so players joining that server need nothing installed. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source. Builds cover 1.21.1 – 1.21.11 for NeoForge, and the latest file is 1.0.0 for 1.21.11.

Key features

  1. Blocked command list

Specific commands used on the server can be refused, which gives owners control over what players may run.

  2. Config-driven blocking

The blocked list lives in an auto-generated config file, so entries can be changed without editing code.

  3. Default protection

A default set of commands is blocked automatically, giving quick protection with minimal setup.

Questions

Does Block Commands easily need to be installed on player clients?

No. It runs on the server alone, so players can join without installing anything.

Can the deny message be changed?

No. Its denial message is hardcoded, so the config file has no option to alter it.
