Better Foliage - Legacy Edition changes how leaves, logs, grass and other natural blocks look on Minecraft 1.7.10 Forge, adding more detail to the world's plant life.

What it does

Leaves, logs, grass and other nature-themed blocks receive a new look, since the mod changes how these textures are drawn to add visual detail to the landscape. Each enhancement can be toggled separately, and the settings are reached through the configuration menu opened with F8. Only the client needs the mod, since it is a client-side mod and a server does not have to run it.

Better Foliage - Legacy Edition is the 1.7.10 port of the modern BetterFoliage by octarine noise. It requires UniMixins and Forgelin: Legacy, and either one may come bundled in a modpack; if neither is present, Forgelin is recommended. The source code is public under the MIT License, and the mod is built for Forge 1.7.10 only, with the latest file, 1.2.4, dated 2026-01-31. It was first published on 2025-11-18.

Players who already run rendering enhancements such as Angelica, SwanSong or Optifine can keep using them, because this mod is built to coexist with those graphics tools.
