Access Denied API

by WereF0X

Access Denied API is a developer library for Fabric and NeoForge that lets other mods add custom conditions and requirements for game content.

FabricNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.21.1 – 1.21.3

What it does

Developers use the API to build addons and compatibility layers for other mods, including custom dimensions and custom logic that mods can support. The author notes give End Remastered as an example, where ender eyes are removed from portal frames and custom conditions and requirements are created on top of that change. Both client and server need the library, so every player and the server run it. Builds cover 1.21.1 – 1.21.3, and the code is under All rights reserved, so the library is not open source.

Key features

  1. Custom requirements

Mods built on the library can define their own conditions and requirements for game content.

  2. Compatibility addons

Developers can write addons that connect to other mods, supporting integrations that the original authors did not provide.

  3. Developer guide

A developer guide is provided with the stable release, describing how to use the API.

The Access Denied API allows developers to create addons for the mod. The API allows creation of mod compats for dimensions that have custom logic not supported by Access Denied (for example, End Remastered's ender eyes not being removed from the portal frames), and allows custom conditions or requirements to be…
